【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscovertheapparatus,procedures,andacceptanceconditionsforevaluatingthenormaloperationalperformanceandtheperformancecharacteristicsunderassaultconditionsoflocksusedinswingingdoorassembliesindetentionandcorrectionalinstitutions.Thus,theygiveonlyanindicationoftheperformancecharacteristicsoflocksinactualservice.Suchvariablesasinstallationandmaintenanceconditionsarenotconsidered.Itistheintentofthesetestmethodstohelpensurethatdetentionlocksperformatoraboveminimumacceptablelevelstocontrolpassagetounauthorizedorsecureareas,toconfineinmates,andtodelayandfrustrateescapeattemptsandresistvandalism.Itisrecognizedthatinordertomeettheintentofthesetestmethods,doorandframeassembliesmustbecompatiblewiththelevelofperformancerequiredbyTestMethodF1450.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
